Revolt RV1+ Review: Price, Range, Features & Real-World Performance

For years, the Revolt RV400 has been the face of electric motorcycles in India. But for the average office-goer or delivery partner, it was often slightly out of budget. Enter the New Revolt Electric Bike—the Revolt RV1+.

In this Revolt RV1+, we are looking at a machine designed strictly for utility. Unlike its sporty sibling, the RV1+ prioritizes practicality, offering a robust "commuter" design, a longer seat for families, and a heavy-duty frame capable of carrying loads up to 190kg.

Priced 104,990* (ex-showroom), this marks a big change in India’s affordable electric motorcycle market. It’s designed to replace common 100–110cc petrol bikes, offering similar reliability at much lower running costs. But does the lower price come with too many compromises? Let’s take a look at the specs to find out.

1. Battery, Range & Charging

The heart of any Electric bike is its battery, and this is where the "Plus" in the RV1+ makes a massive difference compared to the standard base model.

Battery Specifications: The bike is powered by a 3.24 kWh Li-ion battery (significantly larger than the 2.2 kWh pack in the base RV1). The battery is IP67 rated (waterproof) and, crucially, is removable/portable, allowing you to charge it in your home, apartment & office.

Revolt RV1+ Range: On paper, the ARAI-certified claimed range is impressive.

  1. Claimed Range (Eco Mode): 160 km
  2. Normal Mode: ~100-110 km
  3. Sport Mode: ~80 km

Charging Performance: Charging anxiety is minimized thanks to decent charging speeds.

0-80% Time: ~3 hours 30 minutes (Standard Charger)

Fast Charging: The RV1+ supports fast charging tech, capable of juicing up 0-80% in just 80 minutes, a standout feature in this price segment.

2. Design, Ergonomics & Build Quality

Unlike the sporty RV400, the Revolt RV1+ adopts a more utilitarian and rugged persona. It is built to take a beating on Indian roads while keeping the rider comfortable.

Aesthetics: The bike features a classic commuter stance with a round LED headlight and robust crash guards. It is available in four vibrant colors: Cosmic Black Red, Titan Red Silver, Black Neon Green, and Black Midnight Blue.

Ergonomics: This is where the RV1+ shines. The Revolt RV1+ seat height is accessible at 772mm, making it easy for riders of all heights to plant their feet flat on the ground. The single-piece long seat is wide and well-cushioned, specifically designed to comfortably accommodate a pillion rider or extra luggage.

Load Carrying: One of its biggest selling points is its strength. With a payload capacity of 190kg, the RV1+ is arguably the best electric bike for daily commute and delivery purposes, capable of hauling heavy loads without straining the frame.

Tyres & Wheels: It rides on stable 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with a 80/100-17 in front rear tyre, providing excellent grip on wet and dry surfaces.

3. Performance & Real-World Ride

The Revolt RV1+ features a 2.8 kW (peak) mid-drive motor coupled with a conventional chain drive system. This setup is more durable and easier to repair.

Acceleration & Speed: The Revolt RV1+ has a top speed of 70 kmph. It’s not built for racing, but the instant torque helps it feel quicker than a 110cc petrol bike in city speeds, especially from 0–40 kmph.

Suspension & Handling: Revolt has equipped the Revolt RV1+ with telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear. This setup is tuned on the softer side to absorb bumps and potholes, offering a plush ride quality typical of Indian commuters.

Braking: Safety hasn't been compromised. It supports drum brakes at both ends with a Combined Braking System (CBS), ensuring the bike stops effectively without skidding.

Reverse Mode: A highly practical feature for parking in tight spots is the dedicated Reverse Mode, allowing you to back up effortlessly.

4. Features & Technology

To keep the Revolt RV1+ Price affordable, the tech package is functional rather than flashy.

Instrument Cluster: You get a fully digital 6-inch LCD display that is bright and easy to read. It shows vital stats like speed, odometer, battery percentage and selected mode (Eco, Normal, Sport).

Storage: In a smart move, Revolt Motors has utilized the space usually occupied by a fuel tank to provide a built-in storage box, perfect for keeping a charger, documents, or a raincoat.

5. Revolt RV1+ Price

Revolt RV1+ Price: The ex-showroom price is 1,04,990*.

6. Verdict: Is the Revolt RV1+ Worth Buying?

The Revolt RV1+ is not trying to be a sportbike; it’s built to be practical. If your priority is saving money, carrying a pillion/load comfortably, and having a reliable commuter bike with a removable battery, this is the Revolt electric bike for you. Book Test Ride Today!
